Nothing here commits you to anything. If your hearing turns out to be fine, we'll say so. If a hearing aid would genuinely help, we'll explain why and let you try one. Either way, you leave knowing more than when you walked in.

The clinic supplies hearing aids from all major brands. Recommendations are based on the patient’s hearing test results and daily listening needs.
Family-run
The Chepstow Hearing Clinic is an independent, family-run practice. Patients are seen by the same clinical team at each appointment.
Full-hour appointment
Each consultation is booked for one hour, allowing time for assessment, discussion and questions.
Trial period
A trial period allows the patient to assess a hearing aid in everyday situations before making a decision.

Is the hearing aid consultation really free?
Yes, completely. There's no charge for the appointment and no obligation to buy anything afterwards.
What happens if I don't need a hearing aid?
We'll tell you honestly. Plenty of people leave with just an ear check or some advice, and that's a perfectly good outcome.
How long does a consultation take?
Around 45 minutes to an hour. That covers a chat about your hearing and lifestyle, a look in your ears, and time to try devices if that's useful.
Can I try a hearing aid before deciding?
Yes. We fit a trial device so you can wear it in your normal life for a couple of weeks before committing to anything.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral needed. You can book directly with us, and we'll let your GP know if there's ever a medical reason to.
