When you arrive, we'll start with a quick look inside your ears using a video otoscope — a small camera that displays what's in your ear canal on a screen. You'll actually be able to see the wax yourself, which most patients find reassuring (or at least interesting). Based on what we find, we'll recommend either microsuction or gentle warm water irrigation. Both are comfortable, quick, and effective when wax has been softened with olive oil beforehand. Most appointments take 20 to 30 minutes from arrival to leaving.
